Roll Tacking
A tacking technique that uses controlled heel and the subsequent flattening of the boat to help it change tack.
It is particularly associated with dinghies and requires coordinated steering, sail handling and crew movement. Excessive rolling can lose control or capsize the boat; in racing, the technique must remain within the applicable limits on propulsion by body movement.
