Occluded Front
A weather front formed when a cold front catches a warm front and lifts the warmer air away from the surface.
It is commonly associated with a developing or mature depression and can bring cloud, precipitation and changing wind. The actual weather depends on the air masses and system’s structure; a chart symbol alone does not specify the severity or exact timing at a vessel’s position.
