Cleat Hitch
A method of securing a rope around the horns of a cleat using turns and crossing wraps.
The exact arrangement depends on the cleat, rope and task; some applications use a locking hitch while others require turns that can be released under control. Avoid excessive wraps and trapped lines, and make sure the fitting and supporting structure can carry the expected load.
