International Code of Signals (INTERCO)

The International Code of Signals is a system of signals and codes used by ships at sea to communicate important messages and information with other vessels, as well as with shore stations and maritime authorities. It consists of a set of flags, pennants, and signals that represent letters, numbers, and common phrases, allowing for efficient and standardized communication between ships of different nationalities and languages. The International Code of Signals helps to ensure safe navigation, effective coordination, and rapid response in emergency situations on the high seas.
